Come out and play some recreational floor hockey in a great facility, which is about the size of a double gym. We play a non-contact game that is a great way to get exercise in a team-oriented atmosphere. USC supplies plastic DOM 70 sticks. Only basic equipment such as mouth guards and eye protection are allowed in order to keep the game at a recreational level.
- Summer Season: Registration is now open online. Wednesday season is 14 weeks from May 25 to August 31, 2011, excluding July 13. Sunday season is 11 weeks from May 29 to August 28, 2011, excluding July 3, 17 and 31.
- Cost: This is a summer pick-up league. All players must pay for the full season in advance. Cost is on the main page of the website and the online Sign Up/Registration form.
- Location: Sherwood Forest Centre on Fairview, east of Appleby Line, Burlington.
- When: Wednesday night between 8 and 10 pm for summer pick-up league play and Sunday night between 8 and 10pm for summer pick-up league play.
- Level: All-one, 5 on 5 including the goalie with one female player.
- Self-Officiated. There are no referees. Darin is the Game Coordinator.
- After the Game: Head out to QB Sports Pub at Appleby and Fairview. Ask them about up-to-date team specials. Typically, teams of 8 or more should receive a free pizza and 2 pounds of wings. All teams should be able to submit receipts to receive 13% back at end of season (write team name on back and drop it in box at front). To collect the 13% back at end of season, pub staff should be notified at least a week in advance. Ask your waitress for details.
